The 1st Evolution International Film Festival, 2012

was a one day event, which took place at the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood, California USA. The idea to create a festival with the mission to "Make Peace through art" was initiated by Sandra Seeling Lipski, Mahmoud Awad and Seif Abdalla, three former Film Students hailing from Mallorca, Spain and Mahmoud & Seif from Egypt. Due to unsettling circumstances uccuring in Cairo, Egypt at the time, both Mahmoud and Seif had to leave the festival. Sandra carried on to develop it into the Evolution! Mallorca International Film Festival taking place annually in Palma de Mallorca, Spain since 2012.
