2026 Submissions Open January 5th.

Innovative, great stories. These are the trademarks of EMIFF films. The selection committee looks for films with compelling stories, a unique point-of-view, and an emotional range. We are open to any genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Thriller, and Sci-fi (No Horror).

EMIFF has a clear mission: BRIDGING CULTURES – BRIDGING PEOPLE. This can be reflected in the film's storytelling, the shooting locations, and/or the cast and crew. The idea is to screen films that are inclusive, and diverse, and invite the audience to experience a variety of languages and cultures. If screened, we need a DCP and HD Digital backup file and a separate SRT file. EMIFF Does not pay screening fees.
