ANNOUNCING PHEDON PAPAMICHAEL, ASC, GSC, GCA AS OUR CINEMATOGRAPHY ICON 2025
One of the festival’s most important pillars is the Cinematography Focus, celebrating its fourth edition as a vital platform to advance the craft of cinematography through education, networking, and recognition of artistic excellence.
This year’s distinguished program will pay tribute to Oscar-nominated cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, ASC, GSC, GCA who will be honored with the prestigious Cinematography Icon Award 2025 during the opening gala, alongside other prominent figures of the international film community.
Experience the energy of the 2025 Cinematography Focus—made possible by the powerhouse lineup of Sony, Astera, Leitz, Palma Pictures, and ARRI. Sony leads with innovative cameras and A-list panels, Astera lights up the show with fresh tech and a buzz-worthy masterclass, and Leitz brings iconic lenses to the Gear Lounge. Local legends Palma Pictures connect global talent, with ARRI rounding out the team. Partnering with IMAGO, AEC, Camera&Light, British Cinematographer, and Film and Digital Times, this event takes Mallorca center stage as the hotspot for international cinematography and creative connection.
