Nancy Bishop, CSA, is an award-winning casting director working internationally with active offices in both London and Prague. She is the former President and founder of the (CSA) Casting Society or America’s European Branch. She has been retained by most of the major studios, networks and streamers including Paramount, Universal Pictures, Sony, Fox, Amazon, BBC, and Netflix.  Recent highlights of her career include Borat; Subsequent Moviefilm, for which she won a CSA Artios Award for Best Casting of a Comedy,  and The Wheel of Time, (Amazon).

 

Notable past credits include working with Brad Bird on Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Bong Joon Ho on Snowpiercer, and Guillermo Del Toro on the original Hellboy.  She is also the founder of the Acting for Film Program at the Prague Film School, and has penned three books, the third one “Auditioning for Film and TV; a post #metoo Guide,” will be published by Bloomsbury in 2022.  She also is a member of BAFTA, The Television Academy, CDG (The Casting Directors Guild of Great Britian,) ICDN, International Casting Directors Network, and the European Film Academy.

He is a Board Member of the BRIC Foundation, a Committee Member of SAGindie and the Co-Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Entertainment, Arts and Media Committee.

Award-winning director and screenwriter born in Palma de Mallorca, trained in Barcelona and New York. His first feature film, “Yo”, was selected in more than a hundred international festivals, winning the award for Revelation Film of the Year at the Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival, the FIPRESCI in Rotterdam and the Grand Prix of the Biennale Annecy, among others.

 

He has also directed numerous advertising campaigns, winning awards in the Sun, El Ojo, the CdeC, the EFI, the WINA and the Award for Advertising Excellence of the Reina Sofía Museum of Modern Art with which his award was raised to the category of artistic work. campaign for Photoespaña. She has created, directed and edited NouNormals (IB3TV) and produces, writes and stars in NUA (radiografia d ’un trastorn), a play co-produced by the Teatre Principal de Palma.

The scope of his commercial work extends to projects across Latin-American and Europe as well as the General and Hispanic markets in the U.S. His recent short film “Vientos de Octubre” (2020) had its world premiere at “9th EMIFF” where it received the Honorable Mention Award in the Best International Short Film category and the Best Short Film award at the 2021 “Hong Kong Indie Film Festival”
